Bandits Hit The Crown Inn Twice in Two Days for Cooking Oil
The Crown Inn in Broad Hinton was hit not once, but twice in just two days—November 19 and 20. Crooks stole a large stash of unused cooking oil from the back of the pub on both occasions.
Pub Thefts on the Rise Across the County
This isn’t an isolated incident. Several other pubs have reported similar crimes. The thieves always arrive in vans, quickly loading up the stolen oil before vanishing without a trace.
Police Urge Locals to Stay Alert
PC Michelle Barratt warned, “These offenders are linked to a series of attempted thefts targeting pubs across the county. We urge communities to be extra vigilant right now.”

“The entertainment industry has been hit hard already. These criminals just pile on the pressure.”
