Man in His 20s Targeted with Homophobic Abuse at Lidl
Shock in broad daylight at a Lidl supermarket on Monday afternoon. Between 12.30pm and 1pm, a man in his 20s faced a brutal verbal rampage, including hateful homophobic insults, right at the checkout.
Verbal Abuse Escalates to Assault Near Lidl
The nightmare didn’t end there. Just across the road, near two billboards, the same man hurled more abuse before physically attacking the victim.
Suspect Description and Witness Appeal
- White male, around 20 years old
- Stocky build with blond hair
- Wearing a black baseball cap, black and grey top, and tracksuit bottoms
The suspect was later joined by two others—not involved in the attack:
- White man in his 40s, tanned skin, dark hair, grey tracksuit bottoms
- White woman aged 40s-50s
Police are hunting for witnesses who saw any part of this shocking incident, inside the supermarket or outside.
