Police were scrambled to a quiet residential street in the early hours of Friday, May 20, after a brazen burglary turned violent. A woman was attacked by a man who broke into her home, threatening her with a knife.
Showing quick thinking and courage, she fought off the intruder, escaping with only minor cuts to her arm.

Officers now want to speak to anyone who was in the Great Galley Close, Renwick Road, or Choats Road area between 2.30am and 4.30am on May 20.
