Tragic Death on Oldham Road: Pedestrian Killed in Serious Crash
Greater Manchester Police were scrambled to Oldham Road near the A62, Mersey Road North, at around 11.30pm on Saturday, 15 October 2022 following a horrific collision.
Emergency crews battled to save the pedestrian, but despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead shortly after suffering fatal injuries.
Young Man Arrested as Investigation Gets Underway
A 20-year-old suspect was arrested shortly after the crash. GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now hunting for witnesses to piece together exactly how this tragedy unfolded.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Officers want anyone who saw the crash or has footage from dashcams, mobile phones, CCTV, or doorbell cameras in the area before the collision to step up and assist the investigation.
