19-Year-Old Woman Raped in Southsea Alleyway

Police are hunting for witnesses after a 19-year-old woman was raped in Southsea. The attack happened around 10pm on Saturday, August 29, in a dark alley off Clarendon Road.

Suspect Strikes on Busy Bank Holiday Weekend

The victim was in the alley when an unknown man attacked her. She is now receiving specialist support from officers. Detectives say the area was busy due to the bank holiday weekend, so they believe someone must have seen something.

Police Urge Locals to Come Forward

Detective Inspector Emma Crute said: “We are carrying out door-to-door visits and reviewing CCTV footage to piece together what happened. We want anyone who was near Clarendon Road that night to speak up if they saw or heard anything suspicious.”
