Massive Cannabis Factory Busted in Wick

Police have smashed a huge cannabis cultivation operation in Wick, ripping out more than 1,300 plants in a major crackdown. Sussex Police’s Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU) stormed the Lineside Industrial Estate on June 28th at 4.15pm to execute a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

£Millions Worth of Weed Found

Inside the premises, officers discovered around 1,300 cannabis plants, loaded with significant street value. The growers had clearly gone high-tech, with a range of equipment rigged up to nurture the lucrative crop.

Power Cut and Forensics Sweep the Scene

UK Power Networks were called in to tackle illegal electricity bypasses, making sure the site was safe for police. Forensic teams then gathered evidence, before all plants and gear were destroyed to prevent further illegal use.

Sussex Police Warn Drug Dealers: We’re Watching You

Sergeant Andy Bryant of the TEU said: “The sheer number of plants uncovered and the seized equipment indicate the high level of sophistication involved in this cannabis cultivation project. Criminal endeavours like this will not be tolerated in Sussex, and we will diligently gather information to disrupt such activities and bring offenders to justice.”
