Officers Confront Suspect Linked to Earlier Shooting
Officers were following up on a nearby shooting incident from days earlier, where rounds were fired but no one was hit. They approached a man they believed was involved, who was sitting on some steps.
Suddenly, the suspect stood, pulled a gun, and fired. A fierce exchange of gunfire ensued, ending with the suspect’s death.

“We don’t know who fired first,” Worley said. “The suspect had plenty of chances to drop the weapon and cooperate but chose not to. He pointed his weapon at our officers, and they responded as trained.”
