Tragic Crash Near Ashford Claims Teen Girl’s Life
Kent Police are urging witnesses to come forward after a fatal car crash near Ashford left a 17-year-old girl dead and three others seriously injured.

The smash happened at about 8.20pm on Saturday, 4 July 2020, on Mundy Bois Road, Egerton. A silver Suzuki Swift carrying six people veered off the road near Kingsland Lane and slammed into a tree in a residential garden.
Victim Dies En Route to Hospital, Three Others Critical
The 17-year-old passenger from Ashford tragically died on the way to hospital. Three others – a 19-year-old man, an 18-year-old man, and another 17-year-old girl – were rushed to a London hospital. They remain in serious but stable condition.
Two Arrested as Police Probe Collision
A 19-year-old man from Ashford and a 17-year-old girl from Maidstone, both treated and discharged from hospital, were arrested on suspicion of driving offences. They remain in police custody while investigations continue.
Kent Police have made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) because a police vehicle was near the scene at the time of the crash.
Police Hunt Witnesses Who Saw Swift Before Crash
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit want to hear from anyone who spotted the Suzuki Swift before the collision. They’re keen to trace the car’s movements and hear how it was being driven.
