Teen Girl Raped Near Roman Wall in Chichester – Police Hunt Witnesses
Police are in urgent appeal after a vulnerable 15-year-old girl was raped in a field close to the Roman wall and stream near the A286 Avenue De Chartres. The horrifying attack happened on the evening of March 19, between 7pm and 9:30pm.
The teenage victim bravely sought help from passers-by, who assisted her in contacting the police. She is now getting support from officers trained to aid victims of sexual violence.
Six Boys Arrested Over Chichester Rape
Detectives have arrested six local boys – four aged 16 and two aged 15 – on suspicion of rape. All have been released on conditional bail until the end of June while investigations continue.
Police Urge Locals to Come Forward
Detective Constable Gemma Mulloy said: “This was a horrific attack on a vulnerable victim and we recognise the concern this will cause in the community.
“We swiftly arrested six suspects – some of whom are known to the victim – in connection with the incident. We are now appealing for anyone with any information to come forward so we can uncover the full circumstances.
