Teen Brutally Stabbed in Quiet Northern Ireland Town
A peaceful evening in Newcastle, Northern Ireland, turned violent on Friday. A teenager was brutally stabbed multiple times in the Dundrum Road area, shocking the tight-knit community.
Late Evening Attack on Dundrum Road
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) say the attack happened just before 7:45pm on April 11. Emergency services found a young man in his late teens with serious stab wounds to his face and head, believed to be caused by a blade.
Two Arrested Over Stabbing
Detective Sergeant McCartan, leading the investigation, confirmed two males have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. One is a teenager, the other in his 20s. Both remain in custody as enquiries continue.
The victim’s condition has not been disclosed, but the severity of his injuries has sparked deep concern across Newcastle.

The police are urging anyone with information to come forward. Officers are combing through local CCTV and doorbell footage in hope of piecing together what happened that night.
“This was a vicious and targeted attack. We urge anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Dundrum Road area to come forward,” said Detective Sergeant McCartan.
