Tragic Death of 19-Year-Old Lachlan Regan on A52
Police found the body of Lachlan Regan on the A52 near the Victoria Avenue slip road to Borrowash at 11.10pm on Saturday, 3 December. The 19-year-old’s family have now shared a heartfelt tribute to the much-loved local lad.
Family Tribute: “Lachlan Was the Life and Soul”
“Our family and all his friends are truly heartbroken,” they said. “Lachlan was loved by so many. In his short 19 years, he touched all their hearts.”
The tribute paints a picture of a warm and caring young man:
- He adored his little sister, sharing a close bond full of play fights, singing, and chatting.
- Unashamedly close to his parents, Lachlan loved family holidays and swimming in the sea.
- His cousin Dylan, living with them for 11 years, was more like a brother, sharing endless games and adventures.
- A genuine Borrowash local, he greeted everyone with a smile and helped strangers without hesitation.
- A hard worker driven to qualify as a bricklayer, coming home muddy and full of stories.
- The life and soul of every room, always smiling with a beautiful soul.
“He is so unbelievably missed, loved, and will never be forgotten,” the family said. They thanked the community for overwhelming love and support during this heartbreaking time.
