Tragedy at The Venney: Lee, 33, Fatally Stabbed in Gorse Hill
Family Identifies Victim
This morning, Lee, 33, from Park North, was formally identified by his family following his tragic death. Lee suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest on Sunday, 10th October 2021, at around 2.15pm.
In a heartfelt statement, Lee’s family said: “Lee will be dearly missed. We would like to thank everyone for their kind messages and support, which have brought us comfort during this sad time.”
Ongoing Investigation and Scene Remains Active
The stabbing happened at a field locally known as The Venney in Gorse Hill. Police have kept the scene sealed off as forensic teams and investigators continue their work.
No arrests have been made yet. However, authorities confirm significant progress in the case.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Walker said: “We continue to support Lee’s family during this terrible time and ask for their privacy to be respected.”
He added: “Thanks to emergency responders and members of the public who rushed to help Lee on Sunday afternoon. Our investigation is moving swiftly, and we are determined to bring those responsible to justice.”
Police are urging anyone driving along Pinehurst Road between 2.10pm and 2.30pm on Sunday with dash cam footage to come forward immediately by calling 101.
