Three-Vehicle Crash Closes Isle of Wight Road
A major smash on the Isle of Wight has closed Middle Road in Freshwater this lunchtime.
Emergency crews raced to the scene just after 12.30pm on Monday 26th March following a three-vehicle collision in West Wight.
Rescue Teams Cut Free Trapped Victims
Firefighters from Newport and Freshwater used cutting gear to free three people trapped inside their vehicles.
All were rushed to St Mary’s Hospital by ambulance. Thankfully, their injuries are not believed to be life-changing.
Road Set to Reopen Soon
Police recovery teams are on site, clearing the wreckage. The road is expected to reopen within the hour.
