Horror in Home: Toddler Seriously Injured by Family Pet
A shocking attack has left a toddler under two years old in critical condition after being mauled by a large breed dog inside her family home in Cheltenham.
Gloucestershire Police revealed the horrifying incident happened just before 6pm on Sunday evening in the Hatherley area. Paramedics rushed the girl to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital before she was transferred to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children due to the severity of her injuries.
Police Seize Dog – Investigation Underway
The dog involved has been seized and secured in a kennel as officers investigate the attack. Authorities confirmed the pet is not from a banned breed.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: “The child is in a critical condition at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. The pet dog, which is a large breed, has been seized by police and is at a secure kennel while investigations continue.”
