Tragic Mini Cooper Crash in Lydd Claims Two Lives
Police are hunting witnesses after a deadly crash in Lydd at 3.40am on Saturday, 18 May 2019. A grey Mini Cooper smashed off Dengemarsh Road and plunged into a river.
Two Dead, One Injured in Horror Smash
Emergency crews rescued two of the car’s occupants. Three people were rushed to a local hospital — two men and a woman. Sadly, one man and the woman died later that day.
Their families have been informed. The third occupant suffered minor injuries.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Officers are piecing together how the crash happened. Anyone who saw the Mini before the crash — or has dash cam footage — is urged to get in touch.
