Woman Found Dead in Chelsea Flat – Murder Probe Underway
Tragedy struck in Chelsea on Thursday, 12 February, when emergency services found a woman dead in a flat on Lucan Place. Police were called just after noon following concerns for her welfare. Despite the swift response from the London Ambulance Service, the 57-year-old woman was confirmed deceased at the scene.
While formal identification is awaited, she is believed to be Julia Taylor. Her family has been informed and is receiving specialist support.
Two Men Arrested and Released on Bail in Murder Inquiry
Detectives made rapid progress on Monday, 16 February, arresting a 54-year-old man on suspicion of murder. The very next day, a second man, aged 56, was also taken into custody on the same charge. Both suspects have since been released on bail as the investigation continues to unfold.

“We continue to work at pace to build a picture around Julia’s death, while supporting her family,” said Detective Inspector Emma Sharp, head of the inquiry. “Our enquiries have led to the arrest of two men on suspicion of murder who have since been released on bail, as we continue our investigation.
