Knife Terror in East London: Two Men Stabbed After Police Fail to Find Suspects

On Saturday, November 19, panic hit Loxford Lane in Ilford just after 4pm. Police were scrambled following reports of men wielding knives. Despite a rapid response, officers found no victims or suspects at the scene initially.

Stabbings Follow Shortly After

However, later that same day, two men aged 21 and 29 were rushed to a hospital in north London with knife wounds. The 21-year-old was released after treatment but was promptly arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm (GBH). The 29-year-old was also detained under the same suspicion.

Crime Scene and Investigation Still Underway

A crime scene remained cordoned off on Loxford Lane the following morning as police continue their inquiries. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed:

“On Saturday, November 19, police were called to Loxford Lane in Ilford shortly after 16.00hrs to reports of men with knives. Officers were present. There was no victim or suspect found. A short time later, a 21-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were stabbed and taken to a hospital in north London. The 21-year-old was later released from the hospital. He was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of causing GBH. The 29-year-old man was also detained on suspicion of causing GBH. In Loxford Lane, a crime scene has been set up. Inquiries are still ongoing.”
