Man Stabbed Multiple Times in Ilford Horror Attack
Shocking scenes unfolded on Longbridge Road, Ilford, just after 9pm on Wednesday, 7 December, when police were called to reports of a stabbing at the junction with Sandhurst Drive.
Officers arrived swiftly and provided first aid to the victim — a man stabbed several times. London Air Ambulance paramedics and doctors were urgently dispatched to the scene, with medical gear spotted near a stranded bus amid the chaos.
Victim Rushed to Royal London Trauma Unit
The wounded man, believed to be in his 20s, was rushed to the Royal London Hospital’s major trauma unit. A large police cordon remains, blocking Longbridge Road in both directions and trapping several London buses within the scene.
Bus routes 5, 145, EL2, EL3, and N15 are now running revised routes due to the disruption.
Police Probe Attack by Multiple Assailants
A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed officers arrived at 8:48pm after the man was found injured near Lovelace Gardens and Longbridge Road, Barking. Initial investigations suggest he was assaulted by at least two men before being discovered.
Despite stab wounds to his chest, the man’s injuries are not life-threatening.
