Police Drop Man From Murder Hunt After Essex Pub Stabbing
Ryan Filby, 20, is no longer wanted by cops in connection with a brutal stabbing outside a Writtle pub. Filby was arrested early Wednesday morning on suspicion of murder but has since been cleared.
Second Man Still Held Over Plot to Murder
A second suspect remains in custody, arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. Police say both men were taken in during raids linked to the stabbing at the Rose and Crown pub in Writtle Village, Essex.
Targeted Attack Shakes Quiet Essex Village
The attack happened around 8pm on Tuesday night when two men were stabbed outside the pub in The Green. Authorities believe it was a deliberate, targeted assault.
Police have ramped up patrols across Chelmsford to keep the public safe and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
