Single-Car Wreck Rolls in Early Hours
A woman is fighting for her life after a violent single-vehicle crash on the A36 near Deptford at around 1:15am this Tuesday, 27 May.
Wiltshire Police say a white Ford Mondeo lost control heading southbound as the road shifted from single to dual carriageway. The car rolled and ended up stranded in the central reservation.
A36 Shut Down as Crash Probe Continues
The A36 remains closed both ways between Deptford and Fisherton de la Mere, with roadblocks expected until lunchtime while emergency crews and investigators work the scene.
Wiltshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team (SCIT) is leading the inquiry and has launched an urgent appeal for witnesses.
Police Issue Plea for Help
“If you saw what happened, have dash cam footage, or any information that could help our enquiries, please get in touch,” said a police spokesperson.
Emergency crews rushed the woman, in her 40s, to hospital where she remains in a life-threatening condition.
