Long Delays After Motorcycle Crash Closes A228 Near Nettlestead
Rush-hour chaos hit the outskirts of Nettlestead after a motorcycle crash sparked long delays on the busy dual carriageway. Kent Police shut the A228 as paramedics rushed to treat a man in his 50s following a collision involving a motorbike and a car.

The accident happened just after 3.40pm on Monday 12 September near East Peckham, close to the East 1 Road roundabout. The motorcyclist was attended by South East Coast Ambulance teams on Boyle Way, while the car driver fled before officers arrived.
A Kent Police spokesman said: “The motorcyclist’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. He has been taken to hospital for further treatment.”
