£50K Porsche Boxster Crashes on M27 Near Southampton
One of the South Coast’s most expensive rides met a messy end on the M27 early Saturday morning.
High-Speed Spin Sparks Chaos
A dark blue Porsche Boxster, worth around £50,000, lost control and spun wildly across three lanes on the westbound M27 near Southampton at dawn on 7th January. The flashy private-plated sports car smashed into the carriageway embankment, leaving a mangled wreck in its wake.
Lane Closed as Police Clear Scene
Police and Highways England shut one lane while crews recovered the write-off. Amazingly, the driver escaped with no serious injuries.
Warning Issued: Slippy Roads Ahead
Hampshire Roads Police Group cautioned motorists to be extra careful. They warned:
“Drive safely and allow extra time to get about this morning, road and weather conditions are poor.”
The police added:
“The wet weather is set to continue. Plan extra time for your journey and think about your speed.”
