Spate of Robberies Rock London Underground – Police Release CCTV Snaps

London’s Tube has been targeted in a series of brazen robberies and attempted thefts. Police are now hunting four men caught on CCTV in connection with multiple incidents across central London stations.

Piccadilly Circus Attack: Victim Narrowly Escapes

It all kicked off at 5.45pm on Wednesday 18 November 2020, when four men tried to snatch a bag from a passenger onboard a Tube. The victim jumped off at Piccadilly Circus and was chased by the gang. Thankfully, the victim managed to escape unharmed.

Multiple Victims Robbed at Green Park

Thirty minutes later, four men followed a group of victims from South Kensington to Green Park station. On the platform, the gang struck, robbing the victims of their belongings without mercy.

Chased Through Green Park Station

The next day at 3pm, three men approached a Tube passenger. When the victim alighted at Green Park, they gave chase through the station. The victim sought help from station staff, causing the suspects to flee.

Phone Snatching Attempt at Westminster

Just over an hour later, three men targeted another victim at Westminster station, trying to snatch their phone. The attempt added to fears over safety on London’s underground.

Police Urge Public to Help Catch These Thugs

Officers believe the suspects seen in these CCTV images hold crucial information in the investigation. If you recognise any of the men, contact the British Transport Police (BTP) immediately.
