Blaze Hits Roehampton Flat: Six Fire Engines Rush to Scene

About 40 firefighters battled a fierce flat fire on Highcliffe Drive, Roehampton, this evening. The blaze tore through a split-level flat, damaging the first and second floors and destroying a first-floor balcony.

Station Commander Jon Singleton praised the rapid response that kept the flames contained. Fast actions by crews contained the fire to the flat and prevented further damage to the property,” he said.

“A number of people left the building before the Brigade arrived, but thankfully no one was hurt.”
