A34 Shut Both Ways After Huge Crash in Hampshire
The A34 in Hampshire is completely closed in both directions between the B4640 (Newtown) and A343 (Enbourne Row) after a serious collision. The crash caused major barrier damage and left debris strewn across the carriageway.
Police are on the scene managing traffic and have set up diversions to keep vehicles moving.
Northbound Drivers: Follow the Solid Diamond Route
- Exit the A34 northbound at Bullington Cross interchange.
- Take the first exit onto the A303 westbound.
- Drive 5 miles towards Andover.
- Exit at Picket Twenty interchange and join the A3093.
- Proceed through two roundabouts to the A343 roundabout (Newbury Road).
- Take the third exit onto the A343 and continue 14 miles to the A34 Wash Common interchange.
- At the T junction, turn left to rejoin the A34 northbound.
Southbound Drivers: Follow the Solid Triangle Route
- Leave the A34 southbound at the Wash Common interchange.
- Take the third exit at the roundabout onto the A343.
- Continue 14 miles along A343 into Andover.
- At A3093 roundabout, take first exit onto Churchill Way (A3093).
- Pass two roundabouts to the A303 Picket Twenty interchange.
- Take the first exit onto A303 eastbound.
- Drive 5 miles to Bullington Cross interchange.
- Exit and take the second exit at two consecutive roundabouts to rejoin A34 southbound.
