Arson Alert: Firefighters Battle Deliberate Blaze in Sheerness Alleyway
Deliberate Fire Erupts on Railway Road
An arson probe is underway after a fire broke out deliberately in a narrow alleyway on Railway Road, Sheerness, last Tuesday evening. Kent Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene at 5:13pm on April 22, deploying two fire engines after reports of a mattress ablaze.
Firefighters Fight Flames, Save Nearby Buildings
Upon arrival, crews found flames licking at a wooden door frame near the burning mattress. Firefighters, decked out in breathing apparatus, tackled the blaze with a high-pressure hose reel. They also used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear thick smoke from the affected property. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
