Body Found in Northamptonshire Linked to Missing Reading Man

Thames Valley Police have confirmed a grim discovery in the search for 36-year-old Kiel from Reading, who vanished on March 26, 2025.

Last Seen Riding Green Kawasaki

Kiel was last spotted leaving his Reading home at 9:13am, decked out in a black top, blue jeans, and a dark motorbike helmet. He was riding a distinctive green Kawasaki with partial registration RX18. Authorities suspected he may have headed towards Andover or Northampton town centre.

Body Found Near A428 Woodland

On Saturday, April 12, a member of the public alerted Northamptonshire Police after stumbling upon a male body in woodland near the A428. Emergency services rushed to the scene, launching a coronial investigation.

Detective Inspector Stuart Streeter of Thames Valley Police said:

“Sadly, a man’s body has been found over the weekend in the Northamptonshire area. Although formal ID hasn’t happened yet, Kiel’s family have been informed. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”

Police have stated there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death so far.

Public Plea and Ongoing Investigation

Before the discovery, police and Kiel’s family urgently appealed for help, especially around Andover and Northampton, asking the public to keep an eye out for Kiel or his green Kawasaki.

Inspector Iain Watkinson said:

“We are continuing our enquiries and still appealing for the public’s help in tracing Kiel… If you see him, please call 999.”

While formal identification is pending, officers thanked the public for their support. A post-mortem and inquest will determine the cause of death.
