The suspect allegedly hit the gas pipe and then drove off, leaving a trail of oil along roads including George Street, Castle Street, and East Hill Road.

Police have ordered further evacuations on Union Road and called for a full road closure at Betty Horne Lane. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported so far. Residents nearby evacuated themselves before emergency teams arrived.
