Cyclist Seriously Injured After Collision on A3
Police launch urgent appeal for witnesses after a van crashes into a cyclist on the A3, leaving the rider in a serious condition.
Crash Rocks A3 Between Milford and Thursley
The collision happened just before 9.15pm on April 12, between Milford and Thursley. A van and cyclist collided on the southbound carriageway. The van stopped at the scene. The cyclist, a man, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.
A3 Shut for Hours as Investigation Underway
Authorities closed the southbound A3 between the A283 at Milford and the A333 at Hindhead. The northbound side is also shut to allow emergency services, including an air ambulance, to access the scene near the Hindhead Tunnel.
Major Diversions in Place
- Southbound traffic diverted via A31 westbound to the A325 near Farnham.
- Then south on A325 to rejoin the A3 at Longmoor.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Surrey Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward. Contact police on 101 and quote reference PR/P20083413.
