Explosion Rocks Kingston University Lab – Emergency Crews Rush In
Chaos erupted at Kingston University this evening after reports of a sudden explosion inside one of its science labs triggered a major emergency response.
Ambulances and Firefighters Respond Swiftly
The London Ambulance Service sent two ambulances and an ambulance officer to the scene. Crews from the London Fire Brigade quickly joined forces with university staff to secure the area and check for chemical or structural dangers.
Injuries Reported, But No Life-Threatening Cases
Several people were treated at the site, with at least two rushed to hospital. Thankfully, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Firefighters worked alongside university staff to make the scene safe and assess any possible hazards.”
Investigation Underway as Cause Remains Unknown
The exact cause of the blast is still a mystery. Kingston University is now probing the incident to find out what went wrong.
At the time of writing, the university has yet to release an official statement. UKNIP has contacted both Kingston University and the Metropolitan Police for updates and is awaiting their response.
