Blaze Tears Through Lee on the Solent Home

A fierce fire erupted at a property in Lee on the Solent this morning, sending crews rushing to the scene. Firefighters from Gosport, Fareham, and Southsea battled the blaze on Osprey Gardens.

Rapid Spread Sparks Full Response

Firefighters, fully geared with breathing apparatus and hose reels, dived into the building to tackle the flames. The fire reportedly started in a toaster left unattended, quickly engulfing the kitchen and spreading to surrounding cupboards and areas.

Neighbours Almost Threatened

An aerial ladder platform was dispatched from Southsea but proved unnecessary, as the crews contained the fire before it could reach the roof or neighbouring homes. Firefighters also checked a nearby property, entering after the fire burned through to a first-floor bedroom.

Owner’s Negligence Blamed

“The owner had left the toaster on unattended and returned to find the fire had spread rapidly,” confirms sources.

More details are expected as investigations continue. Stay tuned for updates.
