Firefighters Battle Blaze at Holloway Home

Four fire engines and 25 firefighters rushed to a house fire on Penderyn Road, Holloway, last Friday morning (April 21).

Upper Floor Ravaged by Flames

Half of the top floor in a three-storey mid-terraced house suffered heavy fire damage. Fortunately, three adults and two children escaped before firefighters arrived. London Ambulance Service crews took over their care at the scene.

Quick Response Quells Fire

  • The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received seven calls reporting the blaze.
  • The fire service was alerted at 8.08am, and the fire was under control by 9.29am.
  • Firefighters from Holloway, Kentish Town, Islington, and Soho stations worked together to tackle the flames.

Accidental Blaze Caused by Electrical Fault

The fire is being treated as accidental, believed to have started due to an electrical fault.
