Chaos at East Farleigh Station as Woman Suffers Mental Health Crisis
British Transport Police (BTP) rushed to East Farleigh Station on Sunday evening (8th December 2024) after reports of a person in distress. Officers found a woman experiencing a serious mental health episode. She was safely detained and taken to a nearby police station, where arrangements are underway to provide her with proper mental health support.
Train Delays Hit Southeastern Services
The incident briefly disrupted Southeastern train services, causing delays for commuters. Thankfully, normal operations have now resumed. BTP are yet to release a full statement, but we will update as more details come in.
Safety Worries Mount at East Farleigh
East Farleigh Station has a troubled past when it comes to safety. In July 2024, Network Rail flagged 51 cases of level crossing misuse here—raising questions about ongoing risks at the site.
