Coastguard Scrambles Over Mysterious Foam Between Cowes and Wootton

A Coastguard team from Ventnor and Bembridge is on the case after reports of a large pollution spill between Cowes and Wootton. The source of the foamy substance is unknown, with investigators racing to find out if it’s natural or a nasty spill like oil.

Foam Floats Ashore – Investigation Underway

The incident kicked off just before 9.45am on Wednesday morning. Several members of the public spotted what appeared to be foam washing ashore and alerted HM Coastguard. Duty controller Phil Norman said: “At this stage, we are in the early part of an investigation to see what it is and see whether further action needs to be taken.”
