Lorry Crashes Through M90 Flyover Barrier Near Perth
Emergency teams scrambled this morning after a lorry smashed through the barrier of the M90 flyover at the Craigend Interchange near Perth. The 7.30am crash left the vehicle upside down on the A912 road below, triggering road closures and chaos.
Roads Shut After Dramatic Flyover Crash
The incident forced the closure of the M90 slip road southbound and the A912 in both directions. Eyewitness Lucy Scarlett spotted a gaping hole in the flyover barrier and the overturned lorry clearly visible below. Police, paramedics, and Amey recovery crews are on scene battling to clear the wreckage.
Major Delays and Transport Chaos
While traffic on the main M90 remains moving, drivers are warned to steer clear of the Craigend Interchange due to heavy delays. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent three fire engines and a heavy rescue unit to deal with the aftermath.
Police Scotland said:
“The M90 southbound slip road from Broxden is closed at Craigend, and the A912 is shut both ways following a collision reported at 7.30am. Emergency services are attending.”

- Stagecoach’s 65 bus service cannot serve Bridge of Earn.
- Glenfarg Community Transport’s 55 service will end early at Glenfarg.
- Perth High School warns of delays affecting school buses and today’s English GCSE exams.
