GB News Star Dan Wootton Suspended by MailOnline Over Shocking Sex Video Claims

Dan Wootton Pulled from MailOnline Amid Scandal

Dan Wootton, the outspoken GB News presenter and executive editor of Dan Wootton Tonight, has been suspended by MailOnline. The decision comes as DMG Media launches an investigation into serious accusations that Wootton paid for videos of sexual activity while working at The Sun and as a showbiz journalist.

Allegations Spark Media Firestorm

The 40-year-old has been a high-profile figure, penning a twice-weekly column for MailOnline since 2021. However, his columns have vanished since the explosive claims surfaced last month, revealed by his ex-partner. A DMG spokesperson confirmed:

“We are continuing to consider a series of allegations which Dan Wootton has strenuously denied. The allegations are obviously serious, but also complex and historic. There is an independent investigation underway. In the meantime, his freelance column with MailOnline has been paused.”

Double Trouble: News UK Also Investigating

The scandal doesn’t end there. Rupert Murdoch’s News UK, Wootton’s former employer where he spent over a decade as a celebrity journalist, is also examining the claims. Both media giants are taking a hard line as the probe unfolds.

Wootton Denies Allegations, Blasts ‘Smear Campaign’

Wootton has yet to address the allegations head-on but called them a “smear campaign” on his GB News show. Speaking to viewers on July 18, he said:

“I, like all fallible humans, have made errors of judgment in the past, but the criminal allegations being made against me are simply untrue.”

With the investigation underway, the future of the controversial journalist hangs in the balance.
