Body Found in Thames Near Embankment – Believed to Be Missing Man

The body of a man was pulled from the River Thames on Tuesday morning, sparking a police investigation. The RNLI alerted authorities at 11.51am after reports of a body near Embankment, Westminster.

Met Police Recover Body; Death Treated as Unexplained

Officers from the Metropolitan Police’s Marine Support Unit recovered the body. The death is currently treated as unexplained as formal identification is pending.

Missing 20-Year-Old Harvey Parker Family Informed

Detectives searching for missing 20-year-old Harvey Parker have been informed of the discovery. Liaison officers have contacted Mr Parker’s family to update them on the situation. A full report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Detective Chief Inspector Lucy O’Connor, Central South Command Unit said: “Sadly a body has been recovered from the Thames near where Harvey was last seen. We are providing Harvey’s family with all the available information.”

“We also ask the media to please respect the family’s privacy at this challenging and difficult time.”

Harvey Parker was last seen leaving Heaven Nightclub near Charing Cross Railway Station, Westminster, at around 2.15am on Friday, 17 December.
