Hastings Lifeboat Station Gets New Boss: Sarah Milne Takes Helm
Big cheers to Sarah Milne, just named the new Lifeboat Operations Manager (LOM) at Hastings Lifeboat Station. The news broke yesterday after Sarah’s successful application for the top spot.
Sarah’s Rise to Lifeboat Legend
Sarah’s no stranger to the station. Having served for years, she earned her Launching Authority qualification earlier this year. Now, stepping up as LOM, she takes a giant leap in her RNLI career.
The Lifeboat Operations Manager: A Crucial Role
The LOM role is vital. Sarah will manage daily station operations and keep the lifeboats ready to launch at a moment’s notice. She’ll lead the team, authorise launches, and ensure all equipment is shipshape for life-saving missions.
RNLI Thrilled as Sarah Takes Charge
“We are thrilled to have Sarah step into this vital role,” said an RNLI spokesperson. “Her dedication has already made a huge impact, and we’re confident she’ll continue to excel as Lifeboat Operations Manager.”
Sarah shared her excitement: “It’s an honour to be entrusted with this responsibility. I’m committed to keeping our station ready for emergencies and supporting the incredible work of the RNLI.”
Known for its hard-working crew and tough training, Hastings Lifeboat Station looks set to carry on its heroic lifesaving under Sarah Milne’s strong leadership.
