Firefighters raced to a domestic property fire in Newhaven this morning, sparking a major emergency response and forced road closures.
Blaze Breaks Out on C7 Road
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were alerted at 10:55am to flames engulfing a home on 1 Road (C7). Three fire engines stormed the scene, armed with vital gear:
- Four breathing apparatus sets
- Two hose reel jets
- A Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) fan
The busy C7 Lewes Road was shut down while firefighters battled the blaze, reopening only after the danger subsided.
