No Arrests After Dramatic Stop and Search at East Cowes Ferry Terminal

Hampshire cops swooped on the Red Funnel car ferry terminal in East Cowes just after midnight on Wednesday following a tip-off. But despite the heavy-handed lockdown and searches, no arrests were made.

Officers from the Isle of Wight police descended on the ferry terminal in the early hours, locking down the area after receiving intelligence about a suspicious vehicle arriving from southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton.

Vehicle and Four Passengers Searched

Police stopped a car carrying four people. All were thoroughly searched, but nothing illegal was found, and no one was taken into custody.

Investigation Still Underway

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson confirmed: “No arrests were made and nothing was seized. Our investigations continue as we work to keep the area safe.”
