M27 Crash Chaos: Junction 5 Shut After Pedestrian Hit
Hampshire Roads Policing shut down M27 Eastbound junction 5 near Eastleigh tonight after a pedestrian was struck by a car just after 6pm. Emergency services swarmed the scene in a rapid response.
Accident Blocks Major Routes
The motorway remains closed for a full collision investigation. Part of the A335 is also shut, blocking access to the M27. A Highways spokesperson confirmed the police are leading the inquiry and the closure could last several hours.
Drivers Forced Onto Diversion
Motorists are urged to follow the black hollow symbol diversion. Take the A27 toward Fareham via Watts Way as an alternative route.
