Catapult Chaos on the A2: Multiple Cars Damaged in Darenth

Kent Police have launched a full investigation after several vehicles were smashed by objects fired from a catapult along the busy A2 near Darenth. The first call came in just before 6pm on Thursday, November 7, when drivers reported damage to their cars.

Objects Fired From Catapult Hit Passing Cars

Officers arriving at the scene found multiple vehicles had been hit, with strange objects still lodged inside. Although the exact nature of these objects hasn’t been revealed, police confirmed they were launched from a catapult. Thankfully, no one was injured during the bizarre attacks.

Police Hunt Culprits and Appeal for Witnesses

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “At around 5.50pm on Thursday 7 November 2024, Kent Police received the first of several calls related to vehicle damage on the A2 near Darenth. Objects believed to have been fired from a catapult were located inside some of the cars.”

Officers have scoured the area and spoken with those affected, but no suspects have yet been identified. The force is now urging anyone with dashcam footage or information to come forward to help catch those responsible.
