Gunwharf Quays Names Air Ambulance Charity of the Year

Gunwharf Quays, the South Coast’s top designer outlet, has picked Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) as its Charity of the Year for 2016/2017. With eight million shoppers hitting the centre annually, HIOWAA is set for massive exposure and a boost within the local community.

Life-Saving Work in the Spotlight

Ray Southam, HIOWAA Corporate and Community Fundraiser, said, “We are hugely grateful for this opportunity to reach a wider audience and spread the word about our life-saving work in a new environment.” The charity’s fundraising team will team up with Gunwharf Quays staff all year, staging events to raise much-needed funds.

Herocopter Mascot Steals the Show

The HIOWAA crew recently visited Gunwharf Quays with their popular ‘Herocopter’ mascot. They handed out flags and posed for snaps with excited kids, spreading cheer and awareness.

Colin Wilding, General Manager at Gunwharf Quays, added, “It’s great to be supporting Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance as our chosen charity.”
