Users Slam Error Messages on Downdetector and Social Media
Angry customers vented their frustration online. One Downdetector user said, “Says internal server error when I try tracking my parcel idk why.” Another complained, “‘Internal server error’ every time I try tracking my parcel.”
On X (formerly Twitter), customer Alison Billing questioned,
“@RoyalMailHelp is there a problem with the UK tracking service at the moment? I was expecting a Special Delivery item to arrive before 1pm today. It was incorrectly routed but there was no change to status after ~5:30am and now I get an error message when I try to track it?”
What’s an ‘Internal Server Error’ Anyway?
Tech experts at Ask Leo break it down: an internal server error means Royal Mail’s web server is failing to process requests. They likened it to the internet’s “blue screen of death”.
“Something went so wrong on the server that it couldn’t even tell you what the problem was,” Ask Leo explains.
