Tragic Crash on M6 Kills Toddler and Pensioner

A three-year-old girl and a 79-year-old man have died in a horrific collision on the M6 in Lancashire. The smash happened yesterday evening on the southbound carriageway between junctions 29 and 28.

Two Cars Collide in Fatal Crash

The elderly man was driving a Porsche Boxster when it crashed into a Vauxhall Meriva carrying the toddler. Two adults in the Meriva suffered serious injuries and were rushed to Royal Preston Hospital.

The motorway was closed for hours due to the crash and subsequent repairs.

Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Sgt Craig Booth of Lancashire Police said: “These are very sad and tragic circumstances. This was a traumatic scene for all witnesses and emergency services involved. I want to thank everyone for their dedication in dealing with an incident which can only be described as horrific.”

“We urge anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage from the area to come forward.”
