Tragic M6 Crash Claims Lives of Toddler and Elderly Man
A devastating crash on the M6 in Lancashire has left a three-year-old girl and a 79-year-old man dead. The fatal collision happened yesterday evening on the southbound carriageway between junctions 29 and 28.
Crash Details: Porsche Collides with Vauxhall Meriva
Police were called at 5.49pm on November 19 after reports of a serious two-car smash. The 79-year-old was driving a Porsche Boxster when it collided with a Vauxhall Meriva carrying the young girl.
Sadly, both the toddler and the elderly driver died at the scene. Two adults in the Meriva were seriously injured and rushed to Royal Preston Hospital.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
The motorway was closed for hours as investigators and repair crews worked at the site. Sgt Craig Booth of Lancashire Police’s Tactical Operations Unit said:
“These are very sad and tragic circumstances. This was a traumatic scene for all witnesses and emergency services involved. I want to thank everyone for their dedication in dealing with this horrific incident.”
“We urge anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage from the area to come forward.”
