Local Man Remembered

Michael Beaven, 80, sadly lost his life in the A4 crash at Derry Hill on 7th February. A lifelong resident of Calne, born in Devizes, Michael was a much-loved figure in the community.

He leaves behind three children—Louise, Craig, and Katie—and two cherished grandchildren, Tyler and Harvey.

Life Well Lived

Michael spent 30 years working as a BP pipeline engineer before retiring at 50. He then devoted his time to enjoying life to the fullest.

Known for his kindness and willingness to help, Michael was a familiar face at local watering holes. He was often seen at the Liberal Club in Calne and later enjoyed afternoons at 1 in Chippenham.

Family and Friends Mourn

Michael’s siblings—Sally, Suzie, Pete, and John—also live locally and are grieving his loss. Everyone who knew Michael will miss his warm presence deeply.
