Najib Maghsodi Dies After Collision
Najib Maghsodi, 26, has been named as the victim who died after a fatal road traffic collision in Doncaster. The heartbreaking incident happened at 8:32pm on Friday, 10 April, on Prince’s Street. Najib was walking along the street when a silver Hyundai struck him. Paramedics rushed him to the hospital, but he sadly passed away from his injuries.
Driver Flees the Scene, Police Launch Murder Investigation
The driver of the silver Hyundai fled the scene immediately after the crash. Police swiftly arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of murder and several driving offences. Six other individuals connected to the incident were also detained but have since been bailed while investigations continue.
Family Pays Heartbreaking Tribute
“Najib was taken from us far too soon. He was the most amazing, kind, and beautiful husband, son, and soon to be dad,” the family said. “We are beyond words and the pain is indescribable.”
Specialist officers are supporting the family, who have asked for privacy as they grieve their devastating loss.

The 22-year-old suspect remains in police custody. Authorities are continuing their investigations into the hit-and-run that has rocked the Doncaster community.
