Tributes Pour In for Barbara Robinson Killed in Winchester Crash
Heartfelt tributes have been paid to Barbara Robinson, 79, who died after a fatal collision in Winchester last weekend.
Tragic Crash on St Cross Road
The crash happened at 2.50pm on Saturday, 12 August, on St Cross Road, between the Bell Inn pub and the Mead Road junction. Mrs Robinson was hit by a Vauxhall Corsa and rushed to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton General Hospital but sadly passed away on Thursday.
The 20-year-old Winchester man driving the Corsa escaped uninjured.
Family Remember Barbara’s Life and Legacy
“Barbara Robinson had lived in Winchester for most of her life. She worked at Royal Hampshire County Hospital as an energetic and humorous HR administrator. Just before retirement, she was presented to the Queen for her service,” the family said.
“After her husband Austin’s passing, Barbara became a community pillar in Oliver’s Battery, organising events and bringing people together.
“She was married to Austin for 56 years and leaves behind a large family who will forever treasure her memory.”
“Special thanks to Southampton General Hospital, Wessex Neurological, and Hampshire Constabulary for their professionalism and care during this tragedy.”
