Tragic Crash Claims Young Man’s Life Near Upper Poppleton
Just after 7am on Sunday, March 13, 2022, horror struck near Upper Poppleton when a grey Peugeot 208 flipped onto its roof after leaving the road. The crash happened between Newlands Lane and Hodgson Lane.
Emergency crews arrived to find the car overturned beside the carriageway. Sadly, the 24-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
North Yorkshire Police are urgently seeking anyone who was driving near the crash site or who saw the vehicle before the accident. They’re also keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage that could shed light on what happened.
